Therapy Associates provides quality and affordable outpatient substance abuse treatment for teens and young adults in Southern Utah who have drug and/or alcohol issues of any sort.  There are three levels of substance abuse treatment available to meet the needs of struggling teens who are in the early stage of substance abuse as well as those youth who have become addicted or dependent.  The intensity of treatment is determined after completion of a Substance Abuse Assessment.

Substance Abuse Treatment for Teens

Therapy Associates provides quality and affordable outpatient substance abuse treatment for teens and young adults in St. George and Southern Utah who have drug and/or alcohol issues of any sort.  There are three levels of substance abuse treatment available to meet the needs of struggling teens who are in the early stage of substance abuse as well as those youth who have become addicted or dependent.  The intensity of treatment is determined after completion of a Substance Abuse Assessment.

A teen in need of Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) is required to attend and participate in groups four times per week as well as attend one individual or family session per week.  This includes a mandatory group with the client and their parents each week for a period of approximately 3 to 6 months.  Individual participation and performance is the determining factor in the length of treatment.  After completion of this part of treatment, youth are required to attend an aftercare group, which is once a week for approximately 3 months.  All clients are randomly drug tested at least once a week throughout their treatment.

A teen in need of General Outpatient Treatment will be required to attend and participate in groups at least two times per week as well as attend one individual or family session per week.  This includes a mandatory group with the youth and their parents each week for a period of approximately 3 to 6 months.  Individual participation and performance is the determining factor in the length of treatment.  After completion of this part of treatment, youth are required to attend an aftercare group, which is once a week for approximately 3 months.  All clients are randomly drug tested at least once a week throughout their treatment.

A teen in need of our Early Intervention Program will be required to attend at least one group per week as well as attend one individual or family session per week for a period of approximately 3 to 6 months.  After completion of the program aftercare will be determined on a case by case basis.

Group Sessions occur daily Monday through Thursday at 3:00 pm.

Parents are required to attend group with their child every Tuesday.


Prime For Life Course

Therapy Associates offers the Prime For Life Course for teens in the St. George, Utah and Washington County area.  The Prime For Life Course is a drug and alcohol class designed for individuals who have experienced problems pertaining to substance use that has resulted in criminal or legal problems, but are not yet to the point of having developed an addiction.  Lea Francis-Poll and Laurel Smith are certified Prime For Life instructors The price for the course is $250.  There is also a $25 workbook that participants are required to purchase and complete as part of this course as well.   Contact the office for class times and dates.
