Dr. Ryan Tingey, PhD, LCSW
Ryan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice at Therapy Associates. He enjoys the therapeutic process; a journey that comes with growing pains, healing and connection. He specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Ryan completed his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University, his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loma Linda University and he received his PhD from Texas Tech University. His graduate work at Texas Tech University was in Human Development and Family Studies, with a specialization in anxiety and identity formation. He has developed h3 pyramid (i.e., horse, human, and horsemanship) equine therapy model that utilizes evidence-based treatment with horses. He spends his free time training horsemen and mental health therapists on how to use the horse for therapeutic intervention.
Ryan has dedicated a large portion of his life to helping others. He and his wife have two children. During his spare time, he enjoys supporting and attending his children’s interests and extracurricular activities. He enjoys reading, sports (retired sportsman and dedicated armchair athlete), gardening, yard work and other honey-do activities.
